Oklahoma City Thunder Highlights

Clippers overcome Thunder to stay ahead

Chris Paul’s 31 points led the Los Angeles Clippers on a 100-98 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, including the game-winning layup with 8.8 seconds left in the game. The Wednesday night win was important to the Clippers as it kept them on track for a home-court advantage in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. With the win, the Clippers hold on to their fourth place standing in the Western Conference.

Kevin Durant led the Oklahoma City Thunder with 22 points but missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer over Clippers center DeAndre Jordan. The Thunder remain in first place in the Western Conference standings, one game ahead of the San Antonio Spurs.

With the playoffs so near, all the teams have just one thing on their minds and that is to close out all their games with wins. Isn’t it exciting to see all the teams just give their all to be able to reach the playoffs? Catch the excitement live as we head into the playoffs.

Who Are The Favorites to Reach the Finals?

Who will emerge out of the Western Conference to reach the NBA Finals?  The field is really up for grabs, unlike the Eastern Conference.  In the Western Conference you have young teams such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers.  But you also have old teams that have been there before such as the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.

There are two favorites to make it to the NBA finals in the Eastern Conference.  The consensus is that these two teams are the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls.  All other teams may look good on paper, but simply don’t have the experience or the talent to go deep into the playoffs.

My bet is that the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat will meet each other in the NBA Finals.  The Thunder are young and quick.  They’re balanced and they play good defense.  The Heat are simply on a tear right now.  They’re blowing past every team.  Miami has unbelievable talent and has the experience from the previous year of making it to the finals.

The season is a little past the halfway mark.  Find some of the best tickets here.  Tickets are sold at discounted prices.  Hurry before they sell out.

Two Superstars in OKC Thunder

Can Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook continue to coexist together on the team without hurting it?  That’s a question that’s worth debating on.

We all know Durant has some serious game.  He’s had that all his life.  But Westbrook has some skills and these past couple of years we’ve seen it develop quite quickly.  While still raw, Westbrook has lots of potential.

Go out and watch these two star athletes play and you’ll certainly be entertained.  Oklahoma City Thunder tickets are on sale.  Shop around for the best Thunder seats and lowest seats here.  Hurry before tickets to all the good games sell out!

Do The Heat Match Up Against the Lakers?

The Miami Heat has become the team to beat.  After defeating the New York Knicks with their full arsenal of stars in the lineup (melo, stoudemire, lin), who else can match up with them?  The team is the beast in the east and maybe in the league.

Can Chicago keep up with Miami?  Not if Derrick Rose isn’t in the lineup.  What about Boston?  I think they’re getting old, and there’s no one on the Celtics that can defend the paint.  New York can be argued to be the third best team in the Eastern Conference, and they were just easily dispatched.

Catch some Heat games against leading playoff bound teams such as the Lakers and the Thunder.  These games are coming up so get your tickets early.

The Oklahoma City Thunder is a relatively new NBA basketball team. Though team history dates back to 1967 when they were originally the Seattle SuperSonics, you have to look to the move to the state of Oklahoma in 2008 as really a new beginning to this franchise's history.

Some of you may be wondering how the team got its name and team colors. Thunder is actually quite prevalent in the Oklahoma area. So the moniker is actually quite appropriate. Plus it lends itself to the experience of the game by conveying a sense of excitement. The colors come from a mix of sources. The blue comes from the state flag, the yellow is a reference to the sun, and the orange alludes to the beautiful sunsets in the state.
